The Red Tent has been out of print in Spanish for a few years now. Today, I received copies of the newly-released edition, published by ViaMagna Ediciones.
I don’t read much Spanish, but I dearly love the look and sound of the dedication in this beautiful language: Para mi hija Emilia

When I gave The Red Tent to my daughter to read she was in her second year of HS. She was enjoying the book so much she began to talk about it with her classmates, before long, the entire class was reading it!

Anita, I just want to thank you for writing such a beautiful and well documented story. It has helped me put many pieces of our biblical stories together. Alas, Pilar. The book is out of print entirely. My American publisher is seeking someone to rerpint it in Spanish. Please write to a Barcelona publisher… tell them there’s a market.

Oh Anita, that’s so unfortunate! I’ve been searching everywhere for the Spanish version! I just finished my English version and absolutely loved it, so I wanted to give it to my boyfriend’s mom for her birthday! However, she cannot read in English very well! What a bummer! If you do find a Spanish publisher in the future, I would love to know!
